Sky Pencil Holly is an upright-growing evergreen shrub reaching up to 8 feet tall. It has inconspicuous flowers and dark green leaves with purple berries in the Fall. It grows well when planted in tight places as a vertical accent or privacy screen. When planting Sky Pencil Hollies choose a full sun to partial shade, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in Spring.
